Turmeric is a flowering plant, the roots of which are used as a spice and dye. The beautiful sunny yellow color of the weft comes from dipping cotton yarns in a dye derived from these roots. The same turmeric that makes certain curries a bright natural yellow gives the interior of this denim its color. The warp is a classic dark indigo, but the turmeric weft almost glows through the fabric in a way reminiscent of golden fall days. The suede leather patch and dark copper hardware complement and enhance the denim’s warm undertones. This 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim is very rigid to start and will take some wear to conform to your body.
