Dia De Los Muertos, a beautiful Mexican tradition honouring departed loved ones and guiding souls, is celebrated with a new Dia De Los Muertos Selvedge.

New artwork by the talented tattoo artist José Ruiz from Mexico City adorns the vegetable-tanned leather patch. His illustration depicts a skeleton guided by the Xoloitzcuintli, a sacred Mexican hairless dog believed to escort souls across a mystical river into the underworld. This motif, along with subtle iconography like agave plants, roots the design in Mexican tradition.

The heritage is woven into the fabric. This 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim is made from 100% Mexican upland cotton, honouring its cultural origins. It’s woven in Okayama, Japan, on vintage shuttle looms using indigo rope-dyed yarns that will fade dramatically with wear. The selvedge ID, visible when you flip the cuff, features a playful multicolor stripe inspired by traditional Mexican sarape blankets.
