For our last collaboration, we took our classic 13.75oz Left Hand Twill Selvedge and reworked it with slubby yarns, giving one of our most popular fabrics a completely different texture and character. After seeing how well it was received, we decided to revisit the idea, this time in black.
Vintage Nudes Redux is a 12.5oz Japanese denim originally released in 2012 and brought back by popular demand. Made from 100% cotton and rope-dyed in indigo, the fabric carries a familiar, wearable weight paired with an unexpected interior detail.
Hidden on the inside are vintage Japanese pin-up illustrations printed upside down, designed to be revealed with a cuff turn. Each garment is finished with one of three randomly assigned printed leather patches, each featuring vintage pin-up artwork. The imagery dates back to the 1920s, discovered by Brandon in an antique bookstore in London, and reflects a period when Japanese print culture was beginning to absorb and reinterpret Western illustration styles through a distinctly Japanese lens. Playful, stylized, and discreet rather than overt, these prints capture an early moment of graphic experimentation.
Cheeky, nostalgic, and deliberately irreverent, Vintage Nudes Redux revives a cult favorite from the archive while paying homage to a lesser-seen chapter of Japanese print history.
