The Blood Brothers Selvedge is a 20oz Japanese selvedge denim developed for our collaboration with Rose Anvil. Built with a blood red-core warp yarn, an indigo rope-dyed exterior, and a black weft, this denim was created as the denim counterpart to Rose Anvil’s custom Blood Core leather, a dark black leather that develops a red patina with wear.

For this limited edition, we developed a heavyweight warp yarn first dyed with a reactive dark red dye, saturating it all the way to the core. The yarn is then rope-dyed in indigo, building layers of blue over the red center hue. As the denim breaks in and the indigo fades from the surface, the red core is revealed. Cut into the fabric and you can even see the dark red at the center of the yarn.

The denim is woven with a black weft, giving the inside of the fabric the same dark, rugged character as Blood Core leather. Built at a heavyweight 20oz, the fabric starts rigid and structured, with serious fading potential for anyone who likes denim that fights back a little.

Details include a white and red selvedge edge, red lock stitch, blood-red fly buttonhole stitching, tone-on-tone stitching, black hardware, black pocket bags, and a custom Blood Core leather patch featuring Weston Kay cutting our Tragic Blonde in half. Each pair also comes with a matching sticker.
